Throughout this ENC2135 course my writing skills have grown over time, as you can see through these two artifacts presented above. The Reflective Journal 1, written towards the end of January, was a brief explanation of how I was finding the course so far and you can distinguish my writing to be very surface-level. Although fitting the criteria, it doesn't appear to have much depth to it.

In comparison, a more recent piece of writing, being the Local v. Global Revision Exercise, showcased the level of writing I have established during the course of this semester. This writing piece is focused on creating a short story and then modifying your story by changing a big characteristic, for example, the theme, a character, the tone, or the genre. I was much more aware of the different rhetorical devices used in writing and was able to apply that to my imaginative story.
